Risen Christ, you came and stood among your disciples.
Stand among us now by your Spirit.
You spoke peace to fearful hearts.
Make us a people of peace in an anxious world.
You showed your wounded hands and side.
Teach us to love with costly, visible love.
The early church was known by its love for one another.
Make our love visible in this church, in this city, and before our neighbors.
We are the body of Christ.
Make us what we are: a people joined to Christ and sent for his glory.
As the Father sent the Son, the Son now sends his church.
